A Weekend at the Albion River Inn...

Mendocino is a really lovely area of California to visit.

And the Albion River Inn is one of my very favorite places to stay!

Each room has a deck in back, overlooking this spectacular view.

Pretty awesome visit...

sitting on the deck overlooking where the river meets the ocean...

catching up with friends Steve and Sharron...

 Drinking a bit of wine....

...well...maybe a little more than a bit...

...and enjoying the sunsets!

Color in the Sunset Sky...

When I lived in Mammoth Lakes California, in the 

Eastern Sierras, I was privy to lot's of glorious sunsets...

and clouds.

Cloud Series...

This glorious cloud is a combination of a thundercloud forming and the smoke from a nearby fire.

A silver lining to any forest fire is the spectacular

cloud formations and colors.

This one isn't from a fire...just a glorious sunset!

A lenticular cloud...known in Mammoth

as a Sierra Wave.

Checking out Halter Ranch Winery in Paso Robles...

In June, we had the delightful opportunity

to share a few days of fun, frolic, and wine tasting

with good friends...from left to right...

Lee and Diane

Donna and Jim

Su and Gary

and of course...the big guy!!

Great food...great fun...great wine!!!

Our most interesting tour was of the Halter Ranch Winery.

Yeah...well...color was great...really bright...

but somehow Black and White called out to me this time around!!!

I think you need an engineering degree to work these controls...

There's a lot of wine in these settling tanks!

...and then on to the oak barrels...

Halter Ranch has an extensive underground cave system...

perfect for aging wine...

...and imagining Rod Serling taking us into...

the Twilight Zone!
