Color in the Sunset Sky...

When I lived in Mammoth Lakes California, in the
Eastern Sierras, I was privy to lot's of glorious sunsets...
and clouds.

Cloud Series...

This glorious cloud is a combination of a thundercloud forming and the smoke from a nearby fire.

A silver lining to any forest fire is the spectacular
cloud formations and colors.

This one isn't from a fire...just a glorious sunset!

A lenticular cloud...known in Mammoth
as a Sierra Wave.

I'd love to hear what you think about these!

Can you see any of them framed as a single art piece?

Thanks for visiting and commenting!!!

  3. I think either of the lenticular could be framed. They would also look spectacular as a metal print

  7. I like the sort of blurry one - the colours and the visual are very pleasing (for want of a better word). It stands out to me.

  8. Your photo remind me of the space probe photos of other planets. Your third photo, in particular, is impressive. It's like we could sink right into the eye of the cloud.

  9. These are wonderful shots full of movement. Clouds accessorize the skies in such unique ways. Each puff is different.

  11. I love how your skies are like beautiful abstract art. Any one of them could be framed and hung on a wall.
When I was at Yellowstone a few weeks ago the smoke from the fires made for great sunrises and sunsets.

  14. I'd frame any of them. yes, fires and smoke make lovely skies, but .... So the one I'd like best would be the beautiful red sunset that was not the effect of a forest fire.
