On to Florence...one of my favorite cities in the world...

Our fist stop in Florence was the Piazzale Michelangelo for a panoramic view of the city...

And a preview of the magnificent statue of David, by Michaelangelo...

From the piazzale, we went down into the historic part of the city...

A little sidewalk Bistro...

A fabulous street light...

Musicians playing for the late afternoon lunch crowd...

And isn't he delightful???  He posed, but I didn't get a chance to chat with him...so I guess he doesn't qualify for Stranger #1!!!

  4. Thank all!!! I'm glad I'm glad you all love Florence too!!! I didn't get any italian leather shoes (I doubt they make my size!) but I did get an Italian leather travel purse that I used throughout the rest of the trip...

My new avatar is courtesy of my delightful 9 year old granddaughter, Kasey...she took it while we were hiking in Sequoia!!!

  5. Wunderful pics,Chief K!!
How could anyone ever wanna leave a place like that?!

If you're not using your vacation cabin in Mammoth I could at least take care of it while your living in Europe.
