Welcome to Blackstone Country Club in Vistancia Arizona!!!
This past weekend we visited friends who moved to Peoria, Arizona...
They purchased their home in a David Weekly development that is adjacent to
Blackstone Country Club...
Sooo...of course...it became a golf weekend too!!!
The Golfers: TheChief and Mike...
...Connie and Linda...
...and Art bringing up the rear!!!
The Country Club is quite a beautiful location and building...this shot doesn't do it justice...
but this is the view from the driving range.
Since I wasn't one of the golfers...and I just happened to have my camera with me...
...I wandered around the facility, taking random shots...
...my favorite, by far, was this one of the drunk donkeys!!!
The Vistancia area has quite a number of wild burros that roam the area.
So the country club adopted the idea of the wild burros and have a wild donkey
tournament every year...and of course...the painting!
This is a little sitting area just outside the men's and women's locker rooms...
nice, eh?
The first day we went to the country club they were setting up for a wedding.
Unfortunately, it was a rainy day... but oh what beautiful flower arrangements there were!
The next day, when the golfers were golfing and I was wondering the grounds,
I spotted a few bouquets that were left out in the garden...aren't they beautiful?!!!
On a dreary, rainy day...these little flowers were a burst of sunshine!!!
Just outside of the main building was this lovely walk to the pools...
I was pretty entranced by these trees!
A few more random shots around the grounds...
M-i-c...k-e-y....M.o.u.s.e!!!!
We thought we were going to escape the rain that was pounding Southern California...
...but no...it was raining in Arizona too!
Though not the grand storm we left behind, thank goodness!
More Arizona photos soon to follow!!!

What a fun weekend! Love the pictures of the cacti.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was fun and the cacti was pretty amazing!!!
DeleteThe cacti, I think, are my favourite shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks William! Mine too!
DeleteLots of great photos Kathy! I would also much rather have have a camera than a golf club. It looks like a great country club, but I'd still opt for a camera.
ReplyDeleteMe too Pat!
DeleteBeautiful place! I have to say I had never thought of a country club in the desert. Love the architecture!
ReplyDeleteThis one's a beautiful club Brian!
DeleteI'd be with you roaming about, taking photos, and it looks like you found a gold mine!
ReplyDeleteLike minds Woody!!!
DeleteNice looking place - will you be checking out any golf course in Oz?
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
