Making a Photograph...

"You don't take a photograph,
you make it."
Ansel Adams

I recently got a new iPhone 8+.
My friend has a new iPhone 10 and is enamoured
with the camera.  She kept telling me what a great
camera it is and that my iPhone 8 has the same camera.
So...we're walking in our nearby botanical gardens,
and I'm playing with my phone camera.  She shows
me how to do her favorite..."portrait mode".
I just happen to accidentally put the camera
on Portrait mode, Stage Light Mono....
And voila!!!

OK...I'm a die hard Nikon user
...and now...
I'm pretty impressed with my iPhone!!!

  1. That is just gorgeous! Nothing more to be said :)
Mine is the iPhone6, and the camera's only any good for snaps. Hubby has the Samsung S8 - now THAT'S a camera!

  2. Beautiful! I also have an 8+ and love the camera. The only quirk I've found is I often have to correct the white balance on indoor photos.

    1. I agree Brian! Although I found that the ap options didn't always work the way they were supposed to. Still, it's a great back up camera!

  4. Great picture. I wonder how long it will be before that 'huge DLSR' things we carry will seem as old as plate cameras? Sooner that I expect probably!

  5. I was thinking of switching to Nikon but I couldn't swing the price so settled for another cropped sensor Canon. Funny, I was thinking what a professional looking photo this was and that it must have been taken with a full frame camera.
